DIRECTIONS FOR YOUR YONI/V-STEAM
In a medium pot, pour 5-6 cups of FILTERED water.
Place one handful of fresh herb(s) or 1 OUNCE of dried into the water.
Bring water to a boil for 5-10 minutes, reduce heat to simmer,
leave the lid on and steep for another 5 minutes with the lid on.
It is very important to test the temperature of the steam before using.
Pour the mixture into the bowl, make sure it's not too HOT, always test before steaming so not to burn the genital skin.
You are ready to steam, disrobe from the waist down, sit over the steaming herbs, Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist down to the floor making sure no steam escapes. Make sure you keep warm, relax and enjoy.
First and foremost, women who are pregnant, or who think there is a possibility that they may be, should NOT use any type of yoni steam. Doing so may pose a risk to pregnancy, as many of the herbs used may change the hormone levels which may trigger contractions of the uterus. It is therefore not recommended for women who have an intrauterine implant for the same purpose (IUD). Women that have some form of internal infection (cervical, uterine or ovarian inflammation) or fever are advised to avoid steaming before symptoms have passed. Women should also not be steaming while menstruating or when open sores or blisters are present.
